I hope this also fixes the weird output with [range 0 127], at least it doesn't happen for me now.

I'm not sure why send/receive doesn't work for you, but maybe you can take a look, it's all implemented in Pd, no Lua. Maybe see what [else/receiver] is doing. Maybe there needs to be an [else/dollsym] inbetween there too so that it can handle symbols with $?

ok, I'll see that and also revise the whole code, make it look nicer :)
