This solved it for me. Thank you! Most impressive modding I have seen today for flatscreen to VR. Insane quality! I am totally blown away by what Praydog has done.
I have a new problem. If I unplug my monitor I'm able to watch the image inside the headset but it is not like real vr. The image proportion is not well and I don't know what to do. Is like the game doesn't track my movement with my head. I'm using oculus quest. Any idea? Is like use monitor image 360... If I change Window settings, the image changes, but anyway is not right.
I had the same problem. What worked for me was pugging my monitor back in after the game had started. I also had to close down the screen and bring it back up again. This seemed to nudge the game into working. However, then a new issue arrised, I could not recenter or interactwith any thing inthe game. It sometimes works fine when doing this though. Going to keep experimenting and see if I can find a workaround
I have found that what works for me is: unplug monitor when starting the game. The game shows in headset but is stretched out. I start the game from the main menu, and when in the game I plug my monitor back in. If nothing happens I minimize the game screen on my desktop, wait a second, and bring it back into view. This pauses the game. The game looks like a proper VR game in the headset.
Wow. Thanks a lot. But I think I will wait a little. I don't want to unplug the monitor every time I want to play 😅 But anyway. This can be a solution for now.
Hello, I found the solution for RE3 and RE8, you need in NVIDIA control panel, Output color depth at 8 bpc
Output color format set to yCbCr422
The output dynamic range should be limited
I prefer waiting for an official fix ...great job anyway!!!
Fixed in https://github.com/praydog/REFramework/commit/163704a8521e01916abfd78ae863a46135c7228d for D3D12. Improvements will come later. Colors will still be washed out or incorrect in HDR but there will at least be video output. It will still be playable with HDR on if you can tolerate not having correct colors. HDR should still be turned off as as complete fix.

Hi! I am using a Quest 2. When I try to boot RE8 with the mod for it installed, the game does not show in the headset only on the monitor. However, I can see my headtracking on the monitor and I can use my touch controllers. Any one else experience this? Any solution for it?
