RE7 crashes on logos #1056

Tried to run RE7 with latest version (stable and nightly) of REFramework installed on a Steam Deck, to try out the Normal Saves on Madhouse mod, with the proper Wine DLL Override causes the game to close/crash when the logos start appearing.

If I let the logos appear by themselves, the game closes right on the first one, but if I press A on the logos, they go by and the game tries to go into the intro movie but crashes before that.

Trying to run REFramework without the Normal Saves mod also causes the crash.

Upload logs and any crash dumps re2_framework_log.txt

Identify the REFramework version Tried with 1.5.5 and latest REF nightly 888 (0436e04). I also tried some versions before that, going all the way back to release 7ebe3fa (Initial VR and Scripting system) does open up and the game runs, but the mod's LUA script doesn't do anything in-game.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Add latest dinput8.dll file into RE7's Steam directory, alongside the mod script inside the autorun folder.
  2. Added the Wine DLL Override to the game's properties
  3. Click on RE7 on Steam to open it up
  4. Game opens up for a few seconds before closing itself.

Expected behavior Game should load normally with the mod script running automatically
