Fatal D3D Error (22) #876

Describe the bug On Steam Deck Fatal D3D Error (22) occured if "Follow Me" Mod is installed if using Steam Deck as a handheld. It doesnt Occur when docked to a external monitor/TV

Upload logs and any crash dumps No available .dmp file re2_framework_log.txt

Identify the REFramework version 1.5.1 Main/ 1.563 nightly

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Install "Follow me" Mod
  2. Play on Steam Deck itself, no dock connected
  3. Will crash in any moment during the intro videos

Expected behavior To be able to play both handheld and docked

Additional context Error does not occur if connected to a TV. when i remove from the dock to play handheld, thats when the error occurred. Solution for now I remove "Follow Me* mod when handheld, then install again when docked.

Wrong about follow me. It's not it.

Aspect ratio mod seems to be the cause.

If set at 800p it will crash with fatal d3d error (22)

I've used it before without crash that's why i didn't think of it as the reason, i did some removing, installing of some mods and found out this is the one. If 720 is set on steam deck it will not crash at start up but the mod wont work, if set to 800p, the mod will work. But if you start the game again, it will crash.

And i just found out i dont need the seperate aspect ratio mod as reframework already have a function to do this. 🤦🤦🤦

latest version on nightly doesnt work. also with error 22. using the stable with no issue.

Believe this is an issue with Proton and the current nightly build. I'll need to download Linux or get a Steam Deck which is a barrier to me solving this.
