For me, Checksum means an elephant on top of a barely standing house of cards.

The elephant represents both the huge data and the importance that is placed on checksum. The barely standing house of cards represents fragility (sensitivity to change) of checksum. Even a slight change in the data will cause the entire verification process to collapse like how the house of cards would fall with the slightest disturbance.
