calendar is funky if you clear the text #580

When creating a new travel request or editing an old one. If you select a date range Then clear the text from the box Then click out to another field Then select the same date range The text should be put back There is a video here of this behavior https://drive.google.com/open?id=1fD3VbhosnC9ySTZvpqY60T5hWqFmn0jV

@axamei yes, I think it's a very similar issue.
