Hey Fabio,
I tried out your app on Sprint GNex 4.2.1, but it's unable to bypass the Sprint
hotspot check. I have attached an image of the error. Thanks for developing;
let us know if you have anymore updates!

@ Fabio: That refund doesn't do me a lot of good if it takes more than 15m to
download (bad service in my house today). I'm having the same problem as above:
root or no, Sprint's anal-retentive checking disables it.

@WhoSan In your case there is a block from your provider.
The application works when the operator allows and does not charge any costs
because it uses NAT.
I am continuing development to find something that will work in all cases
@longbot your device has root permissions?
if you have further problems please contact me via email (present on Play
Srore) and if I proceed with the refund.
Other users have downloaded the application, however, and are able to use it.
thanks
Fabio

For those interested (Esp. Sprint users) Fabio's app works superbly.
Until/unless WTFRU is patched, I'll be using that.

Thanks!

I have not developed a trial version
But you can always download the full version, if you find errors we can cancel
the order.
I suggest you wait for the update of Google Play and will appear as soon as you
can download version 1.4.
The update should take place in a few hours (1 or more)
the link of the app is:

@Fabio, just tried to use your 1.4 Wifi Tether Router app on a rooted 4.2.2
GNex 4, and no dice. The WiFi router appears to initiate, but when I try to
connect via laptop, it asks for a security key even though the AP is open. When
I configure WPA2 on the router, I can't connect. The laptop just clocks for a
long time trying to connect. Same behavior as if I used the native hotspot
functionality.

have you tried with another PC?
sometimes in computers is stored a profile wifi network and if you change key
or settings need to remove it.
for information if you are prompted for a network key (wpa-psk) you must enter
what appears in red on the application.
If you have other problems please contact me via email to you find on Google
Play.
thanks

the problem may also be caused by radio interference or other WiFi stations
transmitting on the same channel.
I'm implementing new features to customize the network name SSID network key
and change the channel.
will be available in the next few days.

in a few hours will release version 1.5 with the following changes:
In mode "WiFi Tether Router" added ability to customize the Network Name SSID,
Network Key and Channel
I remind you that it is important to try to change the channel when you have
connection problems like: connection drops, slowly, you do not see the WiFi
network, the connection is on hold and does not settle.

@ fabio, thanks for updates. Unfortunately, I'm still having trouble with your
app. The app is certainly broadcasting a signal and by-passing the native
tether check, but I think the wifi password key is getting set wrong. Attached
are some screen shots with the app on android showing SSID and network key, and
an attempt to connect with a mac using those parameters. On the mac screen,
you can see an 'invalid password' error on the bottom left even though the
network keys match. I tried connecting on a few different channels but that
didn't make a difference. Any ideas?

finally try to uninstall the application, restart your phone and reinstall the

I've tried using WiFi Tether Router with different combination of settings, but
none of the computers can see the wireless AP. There only error I got was it
couldn't Auto-detect interface, so I used each available options with no
success. If I use the native wireless tether, I can see and connect to the
wireless AP, but I have no internet access on the pc.
