Check for Title Updates Vanished in 616 #280

Between DBI 598 and DBI 616, the "Tools > Check for title updates" function silently disappeared, with no notation in the release notes.

Where has that option disappeared to?

Additionally, can DBI receive a feature enhancement to dump this output to a TXT file in its directory?

@ToxiClay double check you have enabled wifi. When wifi is disabled network related features “disappear”.

Wi-Fi is enabled. As stated, DBI 598 had the relevant option present.

Well, we will have to wait for a dev response. I’ve been using 616 with any issue. (I’ve double checked that the option only appears when you have internet connection) Maybe you have something disabled in settings?

Hmm. Let me see if DBI just doesn't expose the option if you don't have the right (or any) .config file present. That might actually be my problem, because I side-installed 616 into its own folder, but didn't also grab its .config.

Ah, yes. The answer is I'm fucking stupid, and can be trusted to operate a motor vehicle. 🙃 Thanks for the head check, @lucasaf04. Problem solved.
