À l’intention des nouveaux·elles traducteur·rices

Pour traduire une page :

1. Vérifiez que personne d’autre n’a déjà pris la main dessus dans la liste de tâches et les commentaires ci-dessous.
2. Commentez ci-dessous avec le nom de la page que vous voulez traduire. Ne traduisez qu’une page à la fois. @tdd reportera votre nom dans la liste de tâches.
3. Envoyez une PR interne au fork et ajoutez-la à votre commentaire (@tdd reportera, pareil)

Avant de continuer, lisez nos bonnes pratiques et le glossaire pour comprendre comment traduire au mieux divers sujets techniques et spécifiques à React.

Vous pouvez vous aider des traductions existantes dans Crowdin mais attention, leur qualité est très variable. Nos propres docs ont priorité sur les choix de traduction. Assurez-vous par ailleurs de vérifier que le contenu que vous y trouvez est bien à jour par rapport au contenu actuel du site, pour éviter de traduire un truc obsolète.

Soyez diligent·e·s dans vos traductions ! Si vous vous apercevez que vous ne pouvez pas continuer ou juste aller au bout de votre page en cours, faites-le savoir à l'équipe pour que quelqu'un d'autre reprenne la main.

@tesseralis I wanted to add some guidelines, best practices, a glossary etc. to the fork's wiki, but despite the wiki icon showing up in the main toolbar, clicking it just brings me back to the code view. Any idea?

@tdd you need to accept the invitation to become a maintainer of reactjs.org french translation. Then you'll be able to create a wiki :)

Although I would actually recommend you put those in issues, at least at first. It makes it easier for people to find and discuss and suggest improvements.

@tdd Do you think it worth having somewhere to chat other than in issues? @tesseralis Would it be okay to use https://github.com/orgs/reactjs/teams/reactjs-org-localization to chat in our own language (French in our case) or is it best to stick to English there?

@JeremiePat @tesseralis there's actually a sub-channel for the French team, I believe we could totally chat in French there.

I'm not too keen on setting up yet another Slack 😉

As for language, posting in the team boards let you pick "Org" (all languages) or "Private" (French only). I believe we can safely say French is acceptable for "Private", but I think it'd be ok for "Org" (the default setting) too, as the team board is for the French translation specifically.

@JeremiePat as @tesseralis says, one issue per page seems overkill. In practice, your issues only list the relevant files, which translators are expected to find… and then they repeat the same example-related advice, which we already have, illustrated, in our Best Practices wiki page.

Also, you're linking to issues, not PRs, contrary to what the process in this issue describes.

Would you agree to close issues 2-7 and remove them from the main text, and go with the main process? We can backport file listings, if you want to, in comments of this issue (or some such). Also, please review the Best Practices page I put together, I'd love your input and updates on it 😉

@Chikimuras bienvenue ! Pour le moment, personne n'a pris la main sur le tuto, donc sens-toi libre ! Si tu pars effectivement dessus, merci de me le confirmer que je le note dans la liste de cette issue.

Prends bien soin auparavant de lire nos meilleures pratiques de trad et de jeter un œil au glossaire, pour éviter trop de taf de revue sur ta PR.

Tu peux aussi créer ta PR avant d’avoir fini, marque juste son titre avec un préfixe [WIP] (Work in Progress), qu’on sache qu’elle n’est pas finie ; ainsi, on la référencera depuis la liste ici, et on pourra te faire des retours plus en amont.

Pour ce qui est de lancer X trads avant d'avoir mergé sa première PR : pas forcément la meilleure idée. Si tu as commis une erreur récurrente qu'on ne t'a pas encore signalée, tu vas devoir la corriger beaucoup plus de fois sur tes travaux suivants...

Ex : avoir traduit à tort les identifiants
