@tesseralis I wanted to add some guidelines, best practices, a glossary etc. to the fork's wiki, but despite the wiki icon showing up in the main toolbar, clicking it just brings me back to the code view. Any idea?
@tdd you need to accept the invitation to become a maintainer of reactjs.org french translation. Then you'll be able to create a wiki :)
Although I would actually recommend you put those in issues, at least at first. It makes it easier for people to find and discuss and suggest improvements.
@tesseralis thing is, I never received the invite 😞
@tdd I think it's an invite to join the reactjs github organization? Maybe check your spam folder? I'll send it to you again!
Checked my spam before telling you, nothing there. Also not seeing any pending invite in my setting's Orgs section. What the—
Okay... I checked and you definitely have an invite to the org out. Are you sure the right email is going to github? I'll try uninviting and re-inviting you. And I'll make a wiki for you for now :)
I get notifications for anything else in my inbox, using the @tdd account, so yes. This is kinda weird.
As for the wiki, I can't contribute to it until I have enough access anyway, so… 😉
I sent you a link! I think you can still create issues though if you want to unblock yourself that way!
Got the second invite, thanks!

@tdd Do you think it worth having somewhere to chat other than in issues? @tesseralis Would it be okay to use https://github.com/orgs/reactjs/teams/reactjs-org-localization to chat in our own language (French in our case) or is it best to stick to English there?
@JeremiePat @tesseralis there's actually a sub-channel for the French team, I believe we could totally chat in French there.
I'm not too keen on setting up yet another Slack 😉
As for language, posting in the team boards let you pick "Org" (all languages) or "Private" (French only). I believe we can safely say French is acceptable for "Private", but I think it'd be ok for "Org" (the default setting) too, as the team board is for the French translation specifically.
Ah! Gotcha! Sounds good to me :)
Ouí, you can use the subchannel to talk in French :)
@JeremiePat FYI we've found with the spanish translation that when we create an issue for each page, it becomes cluttered and hard to track really quick.
Hey I can translate the tuto!
@JeremiePat as @tesseralis says, one issue per page seems overkill. In practice, your issues only list the relevant files, which translators are expected to find… and then they repeat the same example-related advice, which we already have, illustrated, in our Best Practices wiki page.
Also, you're linking to issues, not PRs, contrary to what the process in this issue describes.
Would you agree to close issues 2-7 and remove them from the main text, and go with the main process? We can backport file listings, if you want to, in comments of this issue (or some such). Also, please review the Best Practices page I put together, I'd love your input and updates on it 😉
@Chikimuras bienvenue !
Would you agree to close issues 2-7 and remove them from the main text, and go with the main process?
Done :)
please review the Best Practices page I put together, I'd love your input and updates on it 😉
In progress ;)
Hi, can I take the Hello World page ? :)
Hey Maëlann,
Nobody claimed it, so go for it! Just update the issue text to claim it using the format explained above.

@tdd only maintainers are able to edit the text -- could you update it yourself?
@tdd done :)
Hello there 👋
I'm gonna translate the Rendering Elements
page, some maintainers can edit the text of the issue with my username? Also the Introducing JSX
page seems already taken by @sylvhama (https://github.com/reactjs/fr.reactjs.org/pull/10) and it's not updated :)
Thanks! 🥰
Hey, i will translate Components and Props
if it's ok 🙂
👋👋 I'll take the "State and Lifecycle" page 😄
I'll translate the "Handling Events" part ;)
Hi there ,
I would be happy to translate the Forms part ! 👋
@tlenclos ok :)
Can I take "Lists and Keys" or should I wait for my first PR to be merged?
@thib92 It's fine you can do several translations in parallel as long as you make sure comments on your PRs are diligently handle ;)
Actually no, React's translation guidelines mandate one page at a time and I totally agree.

Oh sorry I thought the first PR wasn't in. I meant tackle multiple pages without sending each one in.

Of course, will do 😄

Totally agree on this one. One thing at a time 😉
"Conditional Rendering" for @sheplu He's working on it (but he is on a plane right now)
Hey, I'd like to translate Thinking in React page.
Salut @Chikimuras, @setheal, @shinework, @Nab69, @sheplu et @tlenclos ! Comment ça se passe, vos traductions ? Vous arrivez à avancer ? Besoin d'aide ?
@tlenclos parfait !
Happy to take "Lifting State Up" 😄
