I know it is possible to use Draft workbench Shape Text and then bind it to a body and do anything you want but I think Part Design workbench is robust enough to have its own text feature.
The Draft one is pretty old and hard for new users to use (as an example, you need to manually look for the font file in your computer), I can imagine @realthunder developing a renewed tool inside Part Design with lot of goodies.
It would improve the Part Design workflow a lot as many people look for adding text as a layer of customization in their projects.

PS - an additional wish would be to have this text tool to be able to adapt to surfaces or be able to bend in a circle.
