From Devan:
That feature request has been a wildly popular one and our development team is working on this as we speak. While I don't have an ETA for you, we do our best to reach out to everyone who calls or emails in asking for a feature once it's built. I will let you know when this feature launches, or you can keep yourself updated by checking out our monthly feature updates at this link: https://support.freshbooks.com/hc/en-us/articles/360021875731
i completely understand where you are coming from and will do my best to flag this as something important and of value for our system and our users. I'll keep you posted if I get word of any progress or feature launching.
What I want
I want to be able to view unbilled time entries in chronological order.
What FB does currently
There's no explicit billed/unbilled filter. The workaround is to sort by status.
Unfortunately, it appears that modified date (or a proxy) is used as the secondary sort key. Therefore, entries are out of order. For example:
Note that these items are not in date order. My guess is that they're in order of last update.
Preferred Solution
I would prefer an explicit filter for status. Sorting would then be within the filtered data.
A harder implementation and more confusing UX would be stable sorting with multiple keys.
