[PS3:Q1(a)]What "moments" means here? #11

Hello Dr. Evans,

I am a little confused by the words "create the moments in Table 1" in this question.

Does it mean replicating the third column(household %) in Table1?

Also, this might be rather a minor point, but we can see in the instruction of Q1 saying,

"The first column in the data file gives the percent of the population in each income bin (the third column of Table 1). The second column in the data file has the midpoint of each income bin."

But I can find only one column in hh_inc_synth.txt.(this would be actual income values, right?)

Do I miss anything?

@takando . Good question. You're right that there are two possible answers here to the moments to use in 1(a). The second columns of Table 1 has the counts and the third column has the percentages. In question 1(a), give me the percentages.

And the reference to midpoints in the first paragraph is incorrect. That is from an old version of this problem set.
