UVic CSCW spring 2014 final project - an icebreaker for non-colocated teammates

Installation

Get Nodejs:

Ubuntu

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install -y python-software-properties python g++ make
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:chris-lea/node.js
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install nodejs

Mac

I have no idea if this will work, you can try it though: http://nodejs.org/download/ then follow instructions.

Windows

More info at: http://win.meteor.com/

Meteor:

curl https://install.meteor.com/ | sh

Meteorite:

sudo -H npm install -g meteorite

Setup

Meteor actually does this for you. All you have to do is run 'mrt' on command line in main folder.

Run

To set up and run application:

mrt

To run on a different port:

mrt -p 3500

Server setup

Don't worry about this if you're running on your machine, or using the server I set up (it's already done).

NginX config - must contain these lines or websockets fail:
