Now that #21 is being completed, and supposedly #8 and #16 have also been done
We should be able to more smartly position the FOV from either the scanner or the tool.
i.e. the tool will let you select the position of the center of the FOV or automatically center the FOV such that the center of mass of the ROI (in terms of pixels) will be at isocenter of the scanner. It will compute the optimal solution of the shims based on this.
There will also be developed a button "Apply Shim Rx" that will apply the rx geometry used in the shim tool to the next scans that the user performs, such that their desired volume still stays shimmed as they do more scans to their liking.
If they were to move the FOV in the scanner after the fact, then the "recompute shim solutions" button should take the latest bed position into account and compute the new shim solutions for that new position, assuming the ROI is still the same, just simply translated.
Assumptions:
the calibration sequence does not depend any longer on the position of the scanner bed!!!
