Here the phase unwrapping algorithm hit a corner case and added a wrap to the basis map for the y gradient. maybe this could be fixed in the future when we no longer obtain basis maps for the linear gradients but rather use gradient functions parametrized by our characterization work from #16.
But there should probably be some more analysis done on this issue and we could maybe see in more detail why this is happening...
