If you can't do a talk this month what about next month: #666? (link to next month's meetup)

Hi there! I would like to do a lightning talk on my CLI tool Finch.

cedws commented 6 years ago

@booyaa If you don't mind, I would like to defer mine until last as I may not be able to arrive on time. Thanks.

booyaa commented 6 years ago

Sure, don’t forget to RSVP.

poros commented 6 years ago

@booyaa : @flavray and I would up for speaking. But our talk is targeted for 30 min (questions included). Looking at the schedule, I am not sure there is enough time...

booyaa commented 6 years ago

@poros @flavray we can fit you in (the meetup is booked for two hours) let me know if you still want to go ahead.

poros commented 6 years ago

@booyaa Cool, count us in! :)

booyaa commented 6 years ago

@poros @flavray let me know if the title in okay (see issue description) and I'll past into meetup.com page.

poros commented 6 years ago

@booyaa you can skip the "(yes, it's a Python talk)" part. That was mostly for the EuroPython audience :P Thanks!

@booyaa Thanks for another great meetup. Out of interest, were the presentations recorded, and if so, are they going to be published anywhere?

@c-edw I think they were recorded, @fluffyemily might be able to shed some light on where they've gone to.

@fluffyemily any news on this one?

Yeah, sorry about this. It's all been a bit of a mess.

I received the recordings but they were private to Mozilla only and all made into a single video. I asked for them to be separated and made public, but then the person responsible went on holiday for 2 weeks. I am continuing to chase them and I am assured that this will never happen again. Everyone is being really apologetic but it's really not good enough. I am being very grumpy with everyone involved.

Now that RustConf is over and we no longer need the separate videos, it may be easier just to get them to make the single recording public.

Sorry again.

@fluffyemily No problem, sorry that it's been a trouble for you. I appreciate it, and I'm sure the Rust community will too.
