4 months ago without knowing any details I can just tell me findings:
- Google chrome does a self update (if not explicitly disabled) in the background
- Google Chrome can be installed as User or Admin; RuckZuck may detect both installations but can only update the version in the context of the tool (RZGet.exe ?)
- Google Chrome is always downloading the latest version from https://dl.google.com/edgedl/chrome/install/GoogleChromeStandaloneEnterprise64.msi but depending on your region it may be that RuckZuck has still downloaded an "old" version to the local cache and is therefore unable to update...
For the "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" Issue, make sure that you are not overloading the RuckZuck backend services. Stagger you devices to not run an update at the same time. Also make sure that your Internet does not lack and the AntiVirus is not lock or block files... AdobeReader can have multiple URL's, so make sure you are using the latest RZGet.exe or RuckZuck.exe ...

I use RUCKZUCK a lot and it is really great! Thank you very much! Coupled with my RMM, it allows me to launch automation for searching and installing updates.
I regularly encounter problems: In my fleet of 300 computers, some (not all) notify me that they need to update Google, but when I check directly, it is already on the new version. Sometimes (often for Adobe Reader but it happens for others as well), it fails to download the installer or gives me an error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
Do you have any idea how to solve this problem? Thank you.
