I think both Bussee and his late partner, Gary Cooper, likely qualify according to your criteria. Bussee says he was one of the founders of Exodus International. In this article, he says "In 1979, another EXODUS pioneer (Gary Cooper) and I decided to leave EXODUS—and our wives. For years, we had both firmly believed that the EXODUS process would make us straight. Instead, we realized we had fallen in love with each other! We came out publicly against EXODUS in 1991" http://www.beyondexgay.com/article/busseeapology.html Bussee talked to the Daily Beast about his work fighting against conversion therapy: https://www.thedailybeast.com/meet-the-conversion-therapists-who-turned-against-conversion-therapy

Wikipedia says "Michael Bussee, one of the founders of Exodus and Gary Cooper, a leader within the ministry of Exodus, left the group to be in a relationship with each other in 1979. They divorced their wives and participated in a commitment ceremony in 1982. Bussee and Cooper lived together until Cooper's death from AIDS-related illness in 1991." For this info it cites Teodoro Maniaci (1993). One Nation Under God (Documentary). 3 Z/Hourglass Productions. Can't verify these exact dates as I don't have access to the documentary.
