Tymber Update #8

New Value Proposition Identify growth factors through popularity and discovery that makes sense for the platform which data back up our logic. What is popular now, and what will be popular in the near future with the music industry. The app is still geared towards artists, talent management, and fans.

Is the artist or band more popular on mainstream or alternative outlets?

Spotify is not equal to Bandcamp, and Streaming is not Vinyl. Bandcamp is much smaller scale, and geared for upcoming singers, songwriters, and true fans of music to discover new music and directly support the artists that create it.

Consider the difference in terms of what Tier 1 fans spending their money on and what are Tier 2 fans spending their money on.

Push Growth Factor as a value prop. ^ Popularity/Discovery Angle ^ Feature top performers on main landing page with data metrics

TBD- Composite Score or Growth Score Stream and purchase data are not available from the music provider’s API. Streaming royalty rates are often determined by Congress, Private Contracts, and music distributors. Current music providers mostly provide calls for Followers, Popularity, Listeners, Plays

YIR Update Is there any way to salvage and manually input Year In Review Data (Streams, Fans, Hours, Countries)? Is this even still work it if we are able o pull more sensical data using ChartMetric? It may still be fine for T1.

Other Considerations Do we bring in anything related to Playlists for Tier 2 artists?

API Status Working: Spotify, LastFM Unavailable: Bandcamp, Soundcloud Investigate: iTunes App, Apple Music, Pandora

** Recommend 3-5 APIs for each Tier (1 & 2). We are eliminating Tier 3 for now, but may add it back as deeper service level and value proposition in future development.

Suggested Solutions Use ChartMetric Charts and other reporting that pulls data from Spotify, Apple Music, iTunes, YouTube, Shazam, Beatport, and Soundcloud
