Part 1 - Chapter 1

• Goal: Initially, the goal is to establish our base location and automate all production. Make sure you choose a spot with plenty of iron, and copper and limestone is close! This is looking ahead to the future where we want to setup our base of operations.

  • Focus on getting to research tier 3 as quickly as possible to tap into coal power. With Coal power we can stop manually feeding the biomass burners and focus on a robust infrastructure. This is considered temporary and will get you to phase 2 in roughly an hour after smart plates are open.

Recommendation is two storage containers, one for wood, one for leaves, that each feed into their corresponding constructors - that then merges into a 3rd constructor to make the solid biofuel.

As we get through each phase of the elevator, we build a new factory on top - with supporting train stations for each wing and level.

Part 2 - Chapter 1

• Goal: Setting up coal power stations is a high priority, as it takes the pressure off manually harvesting biomass and feeding the biomass generators
  • Secondary Goal: Create final base and space for mall

• This is the stage where I feel like I'm always short of reinforced plates, this plan is adjusted to make more
• While Heavy Modular Frames unlock in the tier 4 "Advanced Steel Production" milestone, you can't build a manufacturer to create heavy modular frames until you unlock the tier 5 "Industrial Manufacturing" milestone - so the automation of these should be pushed to the next chapter.

Part 2 - Chapter 2

• Goal: build up resources to produce space elevator phase 2 items
• Total power required: ~1521MW (21 coal generators at 75MW each)
• New power built: 1800 (24 coal generators at 75MW each)

Part 2 - Chapter 4

Part 3 - Chapter 1

• Goal:
  • Start fuel power plant network to expand power supply
  • Start to build train network. When designing train stations, ensure there is a gap between each station, and enough room to enter and exit from each end. Each set of train stations should also have a turnaround and route that goes around the station set to minimize congestion. Note that trains always take the first turn - so the first turn to get around the stations shouldn't be a station
  • Start a spreadsheet to track imports and exports - and add signs to factories to indicate output - you'll thank me later.
  • Ensure that stations don't get too complicated. A train shouldn't mix and match between stations - it's simplier to have a separate station for each scenario. Make sure there is room at hot spots. You'll need 4-6 tracks at hotspots, and up to 10 trains at home base (perhaps double stacked)

  • Build an orbiting, double track mono-rail to traverse the entire map and allow long range transportation, from each corner, grasslands, to west coast, to rocky desert, to forest, northern beach, north-east desert, swamp, and back to grasslands again
