Tiny fixes #75

Just opened it up and went through the complaints that the Editor had.

For one, it removed all the trailing whitespace :(.

Others are global variables that shouldn't be, and so defined those to be local, and a TODO on the one global that needs to be global.

Still trying to think about what's causing it to not yield.
