Using Hyku Questions #97

This first group of questions was answered with 2 places where Crystal said she would get back to me about it

Crystal will check on email

you choose the admin set in the UI when creating the importer

Yes if the admin set is mediated the works loaded to it need to be approved. There is a way to approve them in bulk but not using the UI, would need to request this when needed for an import

Crystal will get me the instructions for setting up the permissions so any registered user can upload a work. They will not have depositor role, so only will be able to upload the work. For people we want to have bulk upload and other access we will still need to give them the role depositor

This is fine, registered users without the role wont see this

This happens when the admin set has mediation set up. the work is frozen once it is saved until it is approved.

Crystal will find out if it is a bug or if it is how it is suppose to show

Within a tenant super admin and admin see the same things

it seems weird that all users would show there but there is no way to control their role from that screen. or to see who is a tenant admin, am I missing something?

What is the oai prefix for? would the OAI not be dublin core? (it says oai:hyku)

I cant remember if analytics is their info or Atla's info? I have this in my notes " gets set up to one analytics account. This gives you a view for the full app but would also allow individual tenant admins ability to isolate data about their tenant." But every tenant has a field for Google analytics. I dont understand how this works

Is it possible to have different facets show for a specific tenant or to have different metadata fields show in the catalog list of works?

Similar - is it possible to have a different placeholder text for the search bar per tenant?

How do you add a user to a user group? I see that I can click to edit a group and then under the user tab there is "Add user to Group" but I cant figure out how to get it to do anything. I see no place where i can edit a user or anything else that may work

UPDATE - I fingally got this to work, no clue at all what the trick is! right after getting it to work i create a new user and was not able to add them to a group, but then tried three more times later and the third time it worked.

It seems like there is some kinda autofill that has to happen or it doesnt work. Like if you type in the email address that doesnt add them, but if you can get it to auto fill that same email address it works. There also may be a delay before it can autofill ....

How do you create an Admin Set that only the participants you add to it are able to see it and add works to it?

I created an Admin set with managers and no participants, but it turns out all depositors can see it and add to it. WHy is there a depositor section that you can add users and groups to if they already have access to it by default?

I tried adding the Repository Admin group as depositors to see if that would mean only they could access but that did nothing, all depositors have access to it.

Why does this setting exist if it does nothing?

Also what does the blue button do that says "Allow all registred user to deposit" - does this mean the role "Registered user" would then be able to deposit? or does this actually only mean users with permission to deposit?? Because by default registered users do not have permission to create works

I found "Workflow Roles" - are you really meant to go in here and remove access to the admin set after you create it? STRANGELY screenshot 1 is from 2 or 3 days ago, screenshot 2 is today - the Depositor role no longer shows the Metadata Only admin set - but i did not change it! is there some kind of delay?

And confusingly when i login to a stest depositor account i can see the metadata only admin set still.

Our Hyku includes auto expiring emargoes and leases correct? Does that mean when using an expiration date, once that date has passed (or is it on that date?) the embargo is ended automatically without anyone needing to do anything?

I found in the Hyku documentation that the Image work type is "out of the box". Kevin said ours is not working - there is a bug or something. If this is meant to be out of the box, does this mean we can have this? We talked about it a bit before and I keep forgetting, we have a couple added fields and controlled vocab that would make that extra work not just out of the box. If we can get IMage working, maybe I could see if I can figure out how to add our fields?

PAGES - text this seems to make a weird mess - if you copy and paste you get all kinds of formatting brought in but trying to use plain text also does not work to avoid layers of css being applied inline. How is this suppose to work?
