As a UCLA client, the wave forms take too long to get created, which impacts us by increasing the time and complexity of the import process We proposed a low tech solution, but probably got lost in the mountain of replies.
Essentially, pre-generate 5 wavs, save those as images and randomly assign to each item. I guess ideal option would be to have both and provide a flag for dynamic or static wav image and default to static process.
