scripting / Scripting-News

I'm starting to use GitHub for work on my blog. Why not? It's got good communication and collaboration tools. Why not hook it up to a blog?

Every night at midnight a new day's writing goes up to the days folder in the Scripting News repo, in JSON.

Can you flow that through a knowledge database you use, with the resulting database accessible to the public?

I see so much happening in this space, and want to try hooking my writing system up to as many as possible.

This would be a good place to start a bootstrap, imho.

Hey Dave! I hope this gets traction because the pain is real. I see the lovely 'river of news' coming from all my feeds. It's beautiful and delightful and ... unfortunately, temporary. All the information just flows by and my attention stays glued to the river. I collect all the links, articles and infos, but it rarely gets organized or expressed.

I'd love to see my feeds in some way collected into a database. Or, as the Zettlekasten folks say, the database becomes a conversation partner or an interactive tool for thinking and expressing thought.

It's important work. And, it seems like a very basic, simple solution exists.

this is not about rss. it's about the daily content of my blog.

Why do you want to collect it into a knowledge database?

[adding] I'd love to see my blog posts and notes somehow captured into a 'personal knowledge management' software, like Obsidian or Dendhron, so that I could review, organize, distill and express those ideas. I think my software should help me think and express myself.

I suppose what you are asking is "how to do it?" and I can't answer that. Hopefully someone around here can.

thanks for everything
