I'm starting to use GitHub for work on my blog. Why not? It's got good communication and collaboration tools. Why not hook it up to a blog?

Sally's Reader #264

Open scripting opened 1 year ago

scripting commented 1 year ago

My friend Sally is a fan of my blog, so I made this little app for her to make it easy to read through the archives from this repo.

I started with the archive from mid-2023 to mid-2017. But I will make all the other years work too.

Let me know if it works, and how you like it.

Disclaimers:

  1. The images don't show up, I know.
  2. There will be lots of broken links.
  3. Lots of other things won't work.
  4. Etc.

Nice! I read 10/31/22 and 2/28/23 blogs at random. The ability to expand and collapse is good. The search function will be extremely useful. Wow, thanks!

Neat. Missing July though for every year, and you've got May #1 and #2 for 2017.

@drewkime --

  1. You're right, July was missing from most of the years. Fixed.
  2. There are two parts to May 2017 because I switched CMSes in the middle of the month, hence two archive files.

I added all the DaveNet essays from 1997 to 2004 to the Index menu.

There's now a title for the page, so you can have some idea what you're looking at, if the OPML file you're looking at has a title. Otherwise you just get the file name.

More to come! :boom:

I just added a new menu, with one command in it, that links to this page where you can ask questions, in case you ever forget where it is. ;-)

Also moved the DaveNet essays to the top of the Index menu because they seem to come first.

More items going into the menu soon.
