I'm starting to use GitHub for work on my blog. Why not? It's got good communication and collaboration tools. Why not hook it up to a blog?

Face recognition as a service (that you pay for) #65

Suppose:

  1. I have a huge number of scanned images with pictures of family members going back a few generations. Including people I've never met and don't know.

  2. I want to upload them to a site that has face recognition.

  3. I want to pay. I don't want to share the social graph info.

Is there a service that does this??

Azure offers a Face API that provides Face Detection (draw boxes around faces, along with dozens of attributes) and a series of services (Identification, Similarity, Grouping) that help you label people and build your own graph. 30k free transactions per month, max 20/minute, more/faster if you pay.
