Half of the screen (upper) is black, refuses to work. ggs.

He left the mod so welp, good while it lasted

You have a launch parameter wrong. Reinstall the game and mod. Remove all mods from the workshop if you have some. Make sure you have the launch options correctly and ALL set exactly as in the instructions.
