none of those posts helped in my situation which is why I made one
Steam vr desktop view then navigate the game's menus then start a game then press A or F6. I do A.
The game doesnt launch into vr even if I use f6 or a also no crash logs/quit logs with a vr_log format
Do you hear the game loading into the level? That's when you press A. If it doesn't even load into a level, set memory pool to low.
Video of me doing everything for it to start properly, and show important files, When I am in the map dead center I press both F6 and A on the controller nothing happens, it doesn't even go into VR mode from steam VR, Game also won't open without the "-Vulkan" launch option.
No logs? THis is what I got. I had to disable , or add an exception to my windows Defender Defender stops the game from running the dll file you downloaded from here. Therefore no logs are created.

I already did this, I told you I did every solution brought up previously
if youre using anti-virus software make sure its not blocking/deleting d3d9.dll
Same thing here! If you come up with a solution please share it with us!!! My Steam Vr doesn't recognize the L4D2, I already tried everything that you could possibly imagine! I love L4D, I'm desperate... One thing that I realize, is that the d3d9.dll isn't anywhere, I downloaded it and put it in the "bin" but it doesn't work either! Yes, my Anti-virus is off, I have already reinstalled L4D2 five times ;( The only file close to this name it's ''dxvk_d3d9.dll"!! So sorry for my English, I'm from Brazil! Hope one day to move to the USA!! ;)
Yeah in my case Norton kept embargoing d3d9.dll when I unzipped so had to ask it to ignore - although it still caused problems when a new update came out. Just find a way to get your AV software to ignore it and L4D2VR will work fine.

Title, Steam vr home is displayed in HMD when I load up the game nothing changes in steam vr not waiting no loading just plain old steam home.
