Our console lets you manually sync a connected account. This hits an internal endpoint to trigger the polling (/internal/connected_accounts/poll). Some API customers may find it useful to be able to trigger this as well through an API call. One challenge is having proper rate limiting on this to avoid overloading manufacturer's cloud infra.
