SIA is a setup application which aims to make the process of installing custom tools or modifications to third party applications (such as videogames) more user-friendly through an assisted installation process specifically designed to "casualize" modding.
This tool aims to:
SIA is currebtly on BETA state. While a wide range of users around the globe are already using SIA for first party projects, the tool is not yet ready for other creators to use it on their own creations.
The long-term objective is to refactorize the code so it can easily adapt to different installation situations so hopefully other users can also use SIA as an installer application for their own projects.
While my time to work on SIA is very limited due to my 3D generalist obligations and modding compromises, hopefully SIA's code will get refactorized and cleaned as I get to work on more mods using the application.
SIA is not intended to replace mod management tools.
This software has been developed as a potential QOL improvement to any lightweight modification suporting this installation method.\ SIA is intended to be applied on mod or tools which are installed on the actual third party software data folder (i.e. software executable directory, videogame save data location...).\ It's not adviced to use SIA on use cases where the mod can be installed through a mod manager (i.e. Mod Organizer, Vortex...).
Some great use case scenarios for SIA are (but are not limited to):
