postfix is installed, and has no daemon running (this is potentially ok as long as it can send?), but today, node doesn't seem to use it, or mail doesn't seem to make it out anyway. @ionous mentioned that the log should be here: ../services/node/shift-mail.log which doesn't exist in the new world. That might give some clues as to what is happening to that mail.
