setup prod availability monitoring for new server

uptimerobot or something like it? Or even just a cron job from fool's colo server to pageload an API call once a minute or two and email if down 2x?

I think we should have these things for sure:

• Synthetic uptime monitoring (loading an api link from far away)
• On-system drive space reporting above a threshold
• On-system network/cpu spikes or absences
