Underscores break shaders #39

Shaders with underscores in their names will appear to work fine but mysteriously render nothing. This had me pulling hair out of my head for far too many hours.

Still investigating this issue.

I couldn't reproduce this in a clean app with the latest dependencies.

If anyone else has this problem, please reopen.
