Then, I googled something about ticks and cassandra and found your project. It is very impressive! I am planning to march through each of the modules to learn it. I added some documentation based on my experience installing and running data.router on an Amazon AWS Ubuntu 14 m3.xlarge server. Here's a pull if you are interested in incorporating any of it.
