Error when opening work item in Excel - stopped working in the beginning of June #16

VSTS Open in Excel used to work with no issues, starting this week, a few members on my team including myself are experiencing an error when using the add in. Please see screenshot with error messages.

We have attempted to reinstall the TFS Office Integration 2017 but we still get the same error after reinstalling.

Well, even though I doubt anyone is looking at this (the issue was raised more than half a year ago), I'm experiencing the same thing here. Have Visual Studio 2017 Enterprise installed.

We reported this issue in the Community forum. A workaround Solution is posted. Still, the popup is pointing to download 2017 integration apps. We found that we needed 2019. So, that the popup should be fixed. We think it might have to do with TLS changes - due to timing. https://developercommunity.visualstudio.com/t/Microsoft-Excel--TF400324:-Team-Foundati/10033347
