From Vincent Genot: When I look into the definition of PlasmaBeta (p184) I see a 'mu0' which is the same quantity as the 'mu_0' I indicated in AlfvenVelocity. Someone should decide whether to use mu_0 or mu0 for consistency.
Also this definition of PlasmaBeta has a strange ending : "of the sum(nkT)/(B^2/2mu0)" ; I'd remove this part to get only :
The ratio of the plasma pressure (nkT) to the magnetic pressure (B^2/2mu0).
or to be more precise, in multi components plasma :
The ratio of the plasma pressure (sum_i(n_ikT_i) for all species 'i') to the magnetic pressure (B^2/2mu0).
