Enhancement: CalDav integration

It would be very great if we could integrate this with CALDAV, so we can sync Obsidian with selfhosted open source calendars, or for example Thunderbird or Synology calendars (who speak with each other through CALDAV).

As far as I know there is Full Calendar plugin that provides CalDav integration. How do you see such integration in Journals plugin? What functionality should it provide?

Alas, the Full Calendar plugin is abandoned. Also, I'm not sure if it ever supported true sync, but I'm sure it doesn't now.

I would be very grateful if I could sync tasks from obsidian to CalDAV supported calendars and task managers, (like Thunderbird, Synology calendar or Tasks.org), and also could sync from those back to obsidian.

So for instance I would use Synology Calendar, hosted on my NAS, to note an appointment with my dentist on my desktop. Thunderbird will automatically sync already, through CalDAV, so when I open my mail on my laptop the appointment pops up there as well. If CalDAV would be supported by Journal, the appointment would pop up in Obsidian too.

An hour later I go to the dentist, and she wants to make a second appointment. I put the new appointment in Journal/Obsidian, and through CalDAV the new appointment syncs with Synology Calendar on my NAS, and on to Thunderbird on my desktop and laptop.

A second use case would be tasks.org, which works beter as a task manager on your phone as obsidian does. CalDAV is already integrated there. It would be very nice if you set a task in obsidian on your laptop, and tasks.org on your phone would give you the notifications.
