In ssb-conn it might be nice to have a description of why and when you want to access db, hubb, staging, query.

I liked what you said "this top level api is what a wrapper which provides lost of the functionality people need" You could also say "for some specific things you might want to access lower level data"

Stage and connect are not clear.

I assume connect is like Remember + stage + immediately run

Remember vs stage is very similar imo
