The purpose of this repository is to draft legislation to solve the health care crisis in the United States using the open source methodology of the software industry. The goal is to draw on the knowledge and expertise of concerned citizens in order to write a bill that can be introduced into Congress, in order to establish a Medical Corps in the Department of Health and Human Services.
There are plenty of ways for you to help draft this bill and ensure its success, even if you have never done anything like this before.

Not everyone agrees that health care is a human right, but we can all agree that it is a human necessity. You're going to need it eventually. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but soon and for the rest of your life. Our society is wealthy and innovative enough to enusre a minimum level of necessary care for all citizens, while rewarding those who serve their community by providing that care.
