I can't test yet because of Firebase; please test before merging.

Ah I wasn't too clear on this. Surya said "I think you need to be added to the firebase project for testing locally" when I said the map wouldn't load locally. I'm guessing I don't have access to the data or something?

You should have access. Check the readme on the stagging branch for the setup details
