Apple developers simple did not add such feature.

The system needs a service that will report playback information. Need to reverse engineering the app and sniffing data from the app

There is an Apple Music client called Cider, that supports media controls. As far as I know, it doesn't supply playback information, but from testing all functions on the AirPods work with it.

AppleMusic does not react on keys that MagicPods sends. No idea what to do. I will try to find other solution

I double checked using Spy++ tool. AppleMusic does not react at any keys, but AppleMusic settings says that it has mini player, so it means that Apple add the global media control later.

For now there is no way to trigger AppleMusic. May be media keys could help, I will check.
