Describe the bug When I open Strawberry internet download speed goes very low as if it is stealing most of the bandwidth To Reproduce Open Strawberry while downloading a file and play a song

Expected behavior No internet bandwidth stealing

System Information:

Operating system: Linux - Archlinux kernel 6.2.10
Strawberry Version: 1.0.17

Like I wrote before in #1122, I can not reproduce this. To clarify, is this while strawberry is idle, or while playing? What source are you playing, local files, streams, etc? What makes you think this is a Strawberry bug? How did you measure the bandwidth? Did you use any tools to diagnose this? Since I can't reproduce any issues here, and this seems very unlikely that could be caused by strawberry alone, I'd like to see some more proof for this, output from network diagnostic utilities, for example like netstat, wireshark showing what connections are in use and how much bandwidth is used, etc. If you don't have the knowledge to give more diagnostic data, then I suggest to report this to your distro and let them try to reproduce and report the issue. I can't do much with a claim like this.

It is while playing a local song. Is it possible that there is a service for instance getting the album art? I'm not so expert as to make a video of the screen to show you the difference. Normally if I update my system (Archlinux, I run pacman), the download speed from 2.1 MB/s (my internet connection is not that brilliant) falls to 20 kB/s. I can't be of more help for the time being I'll try to see if I can record a video and show you

If the song hasn't a cover and "Automatically search for album cover" is enabled in the context settings, it will try different sources and download several covers to pick the best one. Try disabling both automatic cover and lyrics in the context settings, and the scrobbler if you have it enabled to see if that makes any difference.

Closing this as it's not likely a bug in Strawberry.

Hello, sorry for coming back late. The phenomenon seems disappeared. So it was not related to Strawberry. I apologize for having created unnecessarily the bug. Thanks for the support anyway Gianluca
