I had the same experience right as above right now, while with Skype, yes I hate Skype, but with their low bandwidth mode on Android I had like 60 MB up and 120 MB down for one hour video talk. If you could optimize Spreed in this direction, this would be perfect. Then we have a real Skype alternative. I also tried Jitsi meet and there the data consumption is totally hopeless - one hour is several GBs and you have no way to influence it, so my hope is Spreed! Thanks for your work with Spreed!
+1 , has some one looked into this issue ?
Looks like an abandoned project!
When I set video quality as low, and the person on the other end uses "High", the bandwidth on my side is too high.
30 minutes video call means 65 MB up (on my side) but more than 400 MB down. I was on 3G and hoped when I set video quality as low it would mean low quality both up and down. But it seems it is only low up and not down. Is it possible to change this? I nearly burnt my monthly allowance with this call.
Other than that, Spreed is great, and I've already started recommending it.
