Request: Copy saves from USB to Memory Card #12

After hours of digging through the Internet, I could not find a way to copy my
GC Action Replay save from my USB device to my Action Replay adapter in Slot B
of my Wii.

This is the only app that I saw that might support it in the future. Any plans?

GCMM 1.4a is able to use the front SD slot of the wii or a usb pendrive, you
are prompted about which one to use at the first screen. (note: this is not
possible in gamecube mode, which can only use the SD gecko as a source device)

What is that action replay adapter? Is that the 59 block memory card bundled
with action replay for gamecube or some other kind of device?

I honestly couldn't tell you because I don't know. It's the black one that
says, "SD Media Launcher" and has a slot to put an SD card in.

Ok, the SD Media Launcher is an standard SD Gecko adapter bundled with a signed
disc (so an unmodified gamecube/wii can read the disk) that allows booting
homebrew from the SD card inseted in the adaptar, just as the homebrew SDLoad
does.

The first thing to say (and you may already know this) is that this device (SD
gecko/SD media launacher SD card adaptor) can't work as a memory card in any
way (well, I think the japanesse version of Animal Crossing for gamecube has
some kind of support, but I think its the only game).
So, no saving to an SD card from a game. As you have a wii, if you don't have a
normal memory card you should search about dios mios/no more memory or
devolution, both are wii programs which can launch gamecube games and use a
virtual memory card.

On the other hand, if what you are attempting is to copy savegames from a
memory card to your SD card using the adapter and GCMM, you MUST use the
gamecube mode app (in the gamecube folder of the download), even if you run it
from a wii. You may copy it to the sd card in the adapter, put it in slot be
and boot the .dol file from the SD Media Launcher Disk.

But since you have a wii, it would be easier to boot the wii mode GCMM from
homebrew channel and use the frontal SD slot or a pendrive to manage your
savegames. Your adaptor won't work on wii mode as stated above. (assuming you
have the homebrew channel installed, if not search google for a hundredfold of
tutorials on the topic)

If you don't have the homebrew channel on your wii and think its too
complicated to install, just use the gamecube mode app with your SD media
launcher.

By the way, sorry for the late response, I thought I had issue notifications
activated, but I had not.
