Maybe this method could be used with GCMM.(access sdcard in Wii mode, load
dol with GCI file into memory, switch to gamecube mode, excecute GC dol)

The above method works as it installs the saved game but when you go to play
the save game the save will
not show due to the disc ID not being available

I think I know a possible way to get Official Nintendo Memory Cards working in
GCMM:

You could use nintendo memory cards with Datel products only if they were
inserted
prior to their software being launched. (Max Drive Pro software (for homebrew
dols)
and Action Replay to hold codes are the two that come to mind. The nintendo
card had
to already have a code file on it to work with Action Replay though and could
not be
removed and reinserted because it would no longer be recognized as "action
replay
hardware". I believe this had to do with the "lock" status of the card.

Currently, GCMM requires you to insert a memory card AFTER the software starts
(if
one is already inserted in slot B, it has to be removed and reinserted or else
you
get a mount error).

What GCMM should do is expect a card to already be inserted (like datel does)
and if
there is card inserted, lock it. This may get Nintendo cards working.

Is anyone interested in adding his fix into libogc in order finally put an end
to this issue?
