The microwave isn't awesome enough

I couldn't get the microwave to interact with anything that fit inside it.
1. The Twinkie doesn't explode.
2. The silver wings on the uniform don't explode and catch fire. I suppose 
they're probably plastic and not metal, anyway.
3. Nothing displaces the cat.

I was also hoping that, since the microwave remained on through pushing and 
popping, that it would electrocute things if popped into a wet area. No such 
luck. It should probably stay off when removed from its power source.

The microwave should turn itself off whenever opened, in addition to the cat 
running away.

I have to admit the microwave was a bit of an after-thought. One of the ideas 
we had for the JIG Escape 
competition was Schroedinger's cat escaping from the box, and that worked its 
way into this game.

The microwave needs to be "rigged" up and become more of an active device. Then 
we can begin thinking about 
how it interacts with each item small enough to be inserted into it.
