1 frame per 1-10 secs lag #86

sxr-360photo app lags, only updating every 1-10 seconds. phone: S9+ Model: SM-G965U1 Android version: 9 sxrsdk-demos: release_v5.0 build variant: oculusRelease osig was added to assets dir permissions were granted battery optimization was turned off for this app

The monoscopicRelease does not have the lag problem.

oculusRelease build variant works fine on

Phone: S8+ Model: SM-G955U Android version: 8.0.0

Can you confirm you have the Oculus developer mode on (with the flickering screen)? If you do have that on and are still seeing this problem, then maybe @liaxim's fix for Android Pie hasn't made it into our snapshot builds and we'll need to update them.

I tried both with developer mode on ( no headset ) and dev mode off with a Gear VR ( power by Oculus ) headset. Pie fix? That is great news!

Hi @mmufault. Can you please try the sxrsdk-demos master branch? It has been a while since we released 5.0; a lot of changes and fixes since then.

Will do, I was just looking for a quick path before compiling master. Great news about the Pie fix. :)

You can just switch to the demos master and it will fetch from maven recent snapshot of the framework's master. We upload new snapshot daily.

Hmm, tried again last night. Cloned to an empty dir, made sure I was on the master branch. Still seeing that lag. :( I'll look around in github for that Pie fix. Thanks again!
