"fileAction": "ARCHIVE" doesn't seem to archive mods as intended. #11

It doesn't seem to archive the old mod files, and instead downloads the new ones on top of the old ones. However, Minecraft still boots just fine (somehow), but the mods folder is still cluttered. (The "old" folder in the screenshot is completely empty).

Ducky Updater version: ducky-updater-rework-2024.5.1-1.20

It might be worth mentioning that the config I had left at the default values that came with the mod.

Having it set to "DISABLE" also doesn't seem to do anything to the old mod files

Send latest.log and debug.log

I don't have Windows but I think it is the problem reason

About booting, yes, instead of Forge, Fabric maintenance himself what is most new mod file and load it, so it's impossible to get conflict error when you have multiple version of same mod in folder

If you used durw-client then provide client logs, if durw-server then server logs

The latest.log featured in this comment is the only log I can find. And, yes, I used /durw-client.

Interesting that it doesn't log anything errors. About operations, I think windows lock files while game is ON and that why it did nothing with files, odd that it event can't Archive they, but it hard to say why. My main answer is "Windows Suck", on Mac and Linux it work as expected, but maybe in future I add way todo it after reload game. Now I need break from that project and update others.

Mods will be moved out after restart, changing Jar files on fly is dangerous and not supported on Windows. Did you restart the server/client yet?

Yes, if i restart it wont start/crashes because of Duplicate mandatory mod ids [alternate-current]

That shouldn't be possible 🤔 Fabric never crash with ID duplication, it just take most newer file. Share your pack there or in discord thread using Google Drive

Oh. Sorry but I don't have plans to support quilt, it doesn't update like they promote it 2 years ago, so I think it gonna die. Also I can't recommend use DURW on it because in mod update request hardcode check update for fabric and sometimes it can be different from quilt build, so that can break Modpack

Yeah, your are probably right, lots of promises and not much happening, they really take their time for updates.

The sad thing is their are some cool mods that are just for quilt, but not for fabric...

probably ging to move my modpack to fabric then, because ducky updater with the modritnh api integration makes updateing mods and server so easy
