Can TWAS analysis be performed on plant samples using MTWAS? #2

Dear developer,

We would like to perform TWAS analysis on a plant population. Our data consists of phenotypes, whole-genome gene expression levels, and genotypes for each sample.

We do not have a reference dataset.

Would our data be suitable for analysis with MTWAS?

Dear Chunyang,

Thank you for your question. In theory, it is possible to train TWAS weights using the functions described in the 'Train your own weights' section. However, we have not tested this method on plants, so its performance in that context cannot be guaranteed.
